How it works

Read a book, tap a word, remember it.

LangPrizm is an iOS reader for learning a language from real books and web articles. This is what happens between opening a page and knowing the word.

1. Bring something to read

You choose the text, so you read what you actually care about.

Your own EPUB

Import a DRM-free EPUB from Files. It is stored on your device, and each book keeps the language it is written in, so you can learn more than one language at a time.

Free classics

Discover lists public-domain books from Project Gutenberg in the language you pick. Add one to your library and start reading.

Web articles

Open an article in the built-in browser and switch to Reader Mode for a clean page. Nothing is kept unless you choose Save to Library.

2. Tap to translate

Tap a word for its meaning, or double-tap a sentence for the full translation. The sheet opens over the page, so you keep your place.

3. Review what you saved

Every saved word comes back when it is due. After each card you answer Forgot or Remembered, and LangPrizm schedules the next time you see it.

  • Remembered pushes a word further out, from one day up to about six months.
  • Forgot brings it back sooner, and a forgotten word returns later in the same session.
  • Review is one continuous session with no daily limit.
  • Swipe or tap to answer, and undo your last answer if you slip.

4. Look back in your Notebook

Your highlights, notes, and saved words are kept together in the Notebook, ready when you want to revisit a passage.

LangPrizm is not in the App Store yet. It is coming to iOS first, with Android planned for later.
